holy fuck. i now understand the whole 'not in my backyard' reaction (and i'm not talking environmental bad shit). i'm reacting to a situation totally counter to what my activist heart says. its because its happening in my backyard. i think the fellow activists who are seeing me react this way probably think i've totally flipped my lid.
i also now understand the whole 'fiscally conservative, socially liberal' bit. i can't believe this is me.
fuck.
can i just get on that plane to escape now?
