i'm going to england and turkey in less than a month. i'm not prepared, yet looking forward to going.. to leave the stress of THIS behind.. this campaign.
i chose these two pictures.. london.. well, thats the tower bridge. the famous one. turkey.. these are the mosques at the golden horn. i wanted these pictures to really show the differences between the two places i'm going. one western, english speaking world.. the other, a mix between the two, the further east i go the more of the west i leave behind. i want to leave the west behind, yet i want to visit the land of my ancestors (england). great anticipation.
i'll only be in turkey for 3 weeks. i've got very competing emotions. i hope that the relationships i'm building now will be waiting for me when i get back. i wish i were staying longer in turkey so to experience more of the country. *sigh*
i'm not afraid though. some folks say i'm brave, others don't even bat an eye when i say i'm going alone. no, i'm not afraid. really, no reason to be.
i'm going to turkey. i'm really going. but so much to do.
i'll leave it at that.
