bought my train ticket to seattle the other day. i'm flying in and out of seattle. gonna probably stay at the green tortoise hostel. still trying to figure out where i'm going to stay in london. any recommendations? cheap. cheap. cheap.
anyhow. i'm going to turkey and i can't wait.
but before then my goal is to get my bedroom all cleaned out.. re: new carpet and my bed put in there. i also want to have an apartment party. i talked to my friend s and mentioned it to another friend..
see, this community of mine, we rarely do anything non activist related together, but we're still a community. people are asking me when i'm leaving and how long i'll be gone for. they are going to miss me.
*happy sigh*
so, i'm thinking i want to have a house party before i leave because i'd really like to leave with a concrete sense of community.. one that during the hard times in turkey (because there always are when travelling) i can think about and draw strength from knowing these folks would bring a smile to my face if i were to see any of them in those moments. yes, i'd like to come home with a sense of home and community.
excuse me if i'm a little disjointed right now. i'm hopped up on tylenol-3 and xanax.. they've not gotten fully through my system after taking them late last night / early this morning.
oh, and right now i'm listening to air america radio streamed through the net. highly recommended for all, ESP. the left leaning folks. al franken right now. he rocks.
