sappho

if you ever hear a bunch of women using the name sappho to referr to something, you can be nearly 100% sure they are lesbians.

she was an ancient greek poet who lived on the isle of lesbos.

here is some poetry of hers (this was before feminist bookstores) :)

When the full moon rose
women took their place
around the altar...
