If you're looking for something that rocks a little harder, the latest Sleater-Kinney album has a wonderful peace song called "Step Aside."

Do You Realize by the Flaming Lips (Track 9 on Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots)
Beautiful tune - uplifting orchestral melody interlocked with soaring chorals, all supporting beautiful, simple, and plainly stated lyrics about the very essense of our lives:
Do you realize/that you have the most beautiful face?
Do you realize/we're floating in space?
Do you realize/that happiness makes you cry?
Do you realize/that everyone you know one day will die?
But instead of saying all of your good-byes
Let them know you realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round.

Brooke, you have to post the tracks that you decide to use. Maybe you can even find some good snippets of anti-war people speaking, like the quote from rep. lee.

Hey there, I happened to come across this site because I am also compiling songs for a CD of peace music. Songs I am considering are: War (What is it Good For?) by Edwin Starr, Imagine by John Lennon, For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield, Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits, Give Peace a Chance by John Lennon, and We Are the World by Michael Jackson and others. I hope this helps you!
